A freethinking intellectual, Mahendra Mohan Gupta began his career working with his father in 1954. Other than being a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, he has also held a number of important positions outside the Jagran Group. He was the Chairman of UNI, President of INS, President of the Indian languages Newspaper Association and has held several other important positions. For excellence in Hindi Journalism, he was honoured with the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award by the All India National Unity Conference. With over 50 years experience Mahendra Mohan Gupta, as he is popularly known, is one of the leading media thinkers of our times. Under his able stewardship, Jagran Prakashan Ltd went public . Also, under his leadership, the group expanded from one newspaper Dainik Jagran to multiple media products making it one of the largest media conglomerates in the country today.
Under his leadership, as the group moves forward, the underlying objective is to expand presence across a range a media platforms, evolve the traditional media business, develop newer media businesses, and leverage synergies for overall growth. His vision for the group is to ensure that we are present across every consumer media touchpoint and deliver value to every life we touch.
