- 25th September, 2024: 92nd Annual General Meeting of the Chamber was held in which Shri Abhishek Singhania was elected as the President and Shri Mayank Khanna as the Vice-President for the year 2024-25. Additionally, 15 Council Members were also elected for the financial year 2024-25.

- 07th September, 2024: A Seminar on “Use of AI in Audit and GST” was organised by Information & Technology Committee jointly with kanpur GST (CA) Association.

- 22nd August, 2024: An outreach program on “Provisions of PMLA, 2002, its requirements for audit and compliance” was jointly organized with Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), UP Sarafa Association and Directorate General of Audit. Key Note Speaker of the session was Shri Ramesh Kumar, Additional Director General, DG Audit, Delhi Zone, CBIC.

- 05th August, 2024: The delegation of Merchants Chamber comprising of Shri Prem Manohar Gupta, Advisor, Industry Committee, Shri Sushil Sharma, Chairman, Industry Committee, Shri Anil Sharan Garg, Vice-Chairman, Industry Committee, Shri Roofi Waki, Vice-Chairman, Export Import Committee and Shri Mahendra Modi, Secretary met Shri Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) & Export Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh to discuss the key issues and opportunities being faced by the MSMEs in the region. A memorandum was presented by the Chamber in the meeting and suggestions were put forward for the MSMEs.

- 30th July, 2024: Live interaction and screening of “Journey towards Developed India: Conference after Union Budget 2024-25” organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi graced the event as the Chief Guest. The conference highlighted key reform measures for the coming years, as outlined in the Union Budget, and collectively charted a path to a developed India.

- 28th July, 2024: Under the aegis of the Fiscal Committee, MCUP a program “Talk on Union Budget 2024-25” jointly with Kanpur Income Tax Bar Association and Kanpur Chartered Accountant Society was organized. The key note speaker of the program was CA Manoj Fadnis, Past President, ICAI.

- 20th July, 2024: A workshop on Export Documentation was organized by the Export-Import Committee of the Merchant Chamber of Uttar Pradesh jointly with Punjab National Bank. The Chief Guest of the workshop was Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, GM, PNB and guest of honor were Shri R K Soni, ITS, Director O/o Joint DGFT, Kanpur, Shri Rohit Kumar, IRS, Deputy Commissioner, Custom, ICD Panki and Shri Dhananjay Jha, ECGC.

- 16th July, 2024: A seminar on creating efficiencies in supply chain through digitization and finance for MSMEs was organised by the Industry committee of MCUP jointly with ASSOCHAM and L&T Institute.

- 09th July, 2024: Under the aegis of the GST Committee, a GST Workshop on "Recent Recommendations by GST Council 53rd Meeting" was held at Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Conference Hall, MCUP. The chief guest of the Workshop was Shri Gauri Shankar Singh, IRS, Commissioner CGST CE Kanpur.

- 7th July, 2024: Under the aegis of the Cultural Committee of MCUP, a play " Rehan Par Raghu'" was staged. The play, adapted by Raj Narayan Dixit based on the novel 'Rehan Par Raghu' written by the Sahitya Academy Award-winning storyteller Kashinath Singh.

- 28th June, 2024: Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with the Youth Work Association was held. The objective of this MOU is to establish a cooperative relationship between YWA and MCUP, fostering collaboration and mutual support for the benefit of both organizations

- 26th June, 2024: A GST Workshop on "Important Recent Issues Under GST" was held at Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania Conference Hall, MCUP. The keynote speaker was Smt. Pooja Talwar, Advocate, High Court, Prayagraj.

- 19th June, 2024: A delegation from the Merchants Chamber, including Secretary Mahendra Modi, attended the first meeting of the 2022-23 session of the Mandal Rail Upyogkarta Paramarshdatri Samiti, Prayagraj. The meeting focused on reviewing the railway issues in the Prayagraj Division, discussing their resolutions, and assessing the progress of railway facilities. The session was conducted in a very positive atmosphere, and the suggestions provided by the Chamber were well-received and accepted.

- 12th June, 2024: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Gaur Hari Singhania, a Sharbat Vitran was organized for the general public, serving sweet and cold sharbat to approximately 4,000 passers-by. In the evening, the Cultural Committee of MCUP hosted a musical program titled "Bhoole Bisre Geet".

- 2nd June, 2024: Under the aegis of the Health & Lifestyle Committee of the MCUP, a talk show titled "Never Give Up" by Dr. Awadh Prakash Dubey was organized.

- 29th April, 2024: Under the aegis of the GST Committee of the MCUP with Kanpur Income Tax Bar Association, A GST Workshop on “Arrest Proceedings during course of GST Search and subsequent Bail etc before CJM Court” was organised. The key note Speaker of the workshop was Adv. Chinmay Pathak, Criminal Cases Expert, Civil Court, Kanpur.

- 22nd April, 2024: A delegation of Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh comprising of Manish Kataria, Chairman, Infrastructure Committee and Mahendra Modi, Secretary, talked to the Director, Airport Authority of India New Civil Airport Terminal, Kanpur in his office and gave a memorandum on behalf of the Chamber in which it was requested to provide round the clock ATC (watch tower) facility at Kanpur Airport, so that air connectivity of Kanpur with other cities like Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh etc. Flight facility can be available and flights for Delhi-Mumbai can also be arranged in the morning and evening.

- 20th April, 2024: Under the aegis of the Health and Lifestyle Management Committee, a talk on “Ageing Gracefully” an Event based Presentation by Dr. A S Prasad, SR. Joint Replacement Surgeon was organised.

- 09th April, 2024: The program “Insights and Perspective on Family Governance and Succession Planning” was organized by Dr. Aarti Gupta. The keynote speaker of the session was Shri Rishabh Shroff, Partner (Co-head – Private Client and Head – International Business Development) at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

- 08th April, 2024: A Conclave “Atmanirbhar Kanpur – Prospects and Challenges” was organized with CSJMU at University Campus.

- 04th April, 2024: 5th meeting of GST Redressal Committee UP was held at Lucknow. Shri Santosh Kumar Gupta, Chairman GST Committee along with Shri Manish Kataria attended the meeting. Meeting was jointly co-chaired by Principal Chief Commissioner of Central GST and Central Excise Mr. Pramod Kumar, and Commissioner Commercial Tax UP Ms. Ministry S along with senior officials. In the meeting a representation in the shape of grievance being faced by GST registered dealer(s) submitted.

- 27th March, 2024: Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh in association with Kanpur Panchayat organised a programme, "221st Kanpur Diwas Samaroh”.

- 27th March, 2024: Under the aegis of the Fiscal Committee, a seminar on “Recent Provisions u/s 43B(h) of the Income Tax Act relating to MSME” was organized. CA Anjani Khetrapal was the Key Note Speaker of the session.

- 19th March, 2024: Under the aegis of the Corporate Affairs Committee of MCUP a half day seminar on “Fine/Penalties/Adjudication – Concept for Corporates under Companies Act" was jointly organized with the Kanpur Chapter of NIRC, ICSI. CS Shikhar Goel was the Key Note Speaker of the session.

- 16th March, 2024: An interactive session - "Destined for Greatness & Exploring Military Odyssey was organized in the honour of General M.M. Naravane ji (former Indian Army Chief).

- 14th March, 2024: Under the aegis of the GST Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh a GST Workshop on " Latest Amendments in GST Act and Departmental Guidelines" jointly with State GST Department was organised. The Chief Guest of the workshop was Shri G S Bonal Ji, Additional Commissioner Grade - 1 State GST Department. Other officials of the State GST Department were also graced the workshop.

- 12th March, 2024: Under the aegis of the Cultural Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh jointly with Rotary Club of Kanpur a play "Madhav Aaye" was successfully staged by Kalapunj Natya Sanstha Kanpur.

- 02nd March, 2024: Information and Technology (IT) Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh organized a successful brainstorming seminar on "Artificial Intelligence for Businesses: Transforming your Operations and Growth". The Key note Speaker of the session was Mr. Nandan Mishra, CEO & Co-founder ALGO8 AI.

- 26th February, 2024: A talk show was organized by the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh in the honor of (Retd.) Major Gaurav Arya (Indian Army Veteran, Founder of Chanakya Academy) “Cracking the Code: Major Gaurav Arya, Deciphers Indian Geopolitics”.

- 19th February, 2024: The inauguration of the fourth ground breaking ceremony (GBC) 4.0 being held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow was telecast live at Hotel Pristine, Kanpur. Shri Mahendra Nath Modi, Secretary, MCUP with other members of the Chamber has participated in the meeting.

- 17th February, 2024: Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh jointly with FICCI Flo organized a workshop on “Prevention of sexual Harassment (POSH) Laws”. Key note speaker of the Workshop was Smt. Amrreeta Swarup, (Advocate-on-Record) (Hon’ble Supreme Court).

- 13th February, 2024: Under the aegis of the Trade Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh a talk on "RB-IOS: An Alternative Grievance Redress Mechanism for Customers of Regulated Entities was organized jointly with Kanpur Chartered Accountants Society. The keynote speaker of the program was Smt. Chandini Moolchandani, RBI Ombudsman, Chief General Manager.

- 13th February, 2024: A meeting of various trade organizations of Kanpur was organized to discuss the various problems faced by them while dealing with the local administration and the problems of the city under the aegis of the Trade Committee.

- 26th January, 2024: 75th Republic Day Celebration was held at MCUP. Unfurling of the Flag was done by Mrs. Varsha Singhania, Advisor, Women Entrepreneur Committee, MCUP

- 25th January, 2024: Under the aegis of the GST Committee, MCUP organised a joint program on “GST Raid” with Kanpur Chartered Accountant Society and Sales Tax Bar association. CA Jatin Christopher from Bangalore was the key note speaker of the program.

- 22nd January, 2024: To celebrate Pran Pratistha at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi, Ayodhya, a program “Ram Janaki Kala Mahotsava was organized by Shri Radha Krishna Temple Trust (J K Temple) and MCUP at Shri Radha Krishna Temple (J K Temple). A Bhajan Melody was performed by the Members of the MCUP followed by a dance drama play based on the Ramayana was performed by more than 100 Children of Kala Nidhi Dance Academy and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay School. On this auspicious occasion, J K Temple was illuminated with 11000 diyas.

- 22nd January, 2024: To celebrate “Pran-Pratistha” at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi, Ayodhya 9 LCDs were installed at different locations in the city, in which “Pran-Pratistha” at Shri Ram Janam Bhoomi was live telecasted from Ayodhya. In the evening, the program “Ram Janaki Kala Mahotsava” at Radha Krishna Temple ( J K temple) was telecasted.

- 22nd January, 2024: Bhojan Prasad and Gajak vitaran at Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh. Mrs. Varsha Singhania, Advisor, WEC inaugurated the Bhojan Prasad and Gajak distribution outside MCUP as the Chief Guest.

- 21st January, 2024: An Art Mela “Chitrakala Samagam” was organized at J K Temple, in which almost 400 Students, Professional Artist and Children of the City participated. It was a live painting competition. Topic for the Painting were: Ramayana or Bala Ram Roop or Ayodhya Ram Mandir or Deep Prajwalan. A Participation Certificate was given to all the Participants.

- 20th January, 2024: Under the aegis of the Industry Committee, a MSME Outreach Program was organised. Mr. Sunil Kumar, Joint Commissioner (Industries), UP was the Chief Guest and Mr. Sunil Agnihotri, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Kanpur was the Guest of Honour.

- 19th January, 2024: A press conference was organized under the joint aegis of Shri Radha Krishna Temple Trust ( J K Temple) and MCUP for the outline and detailed description of the two-day program “Ram Janaki Kala Mahotsava” to be held on 21st-22nd January, 2024 at Shri Radha Krishna Temple ( J K Temple). The press conference was addressed by Mrs. Varsha Singhania, Advisor, Women Entrepreneur Committee, MCUP and Mr. Ashish Singh Chauhan, Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, J K Group.

- 28th December, 2023: Information & Technology Committee jointly with Kanpur Chartered Accountants Society (KCAS) and Rotary Club of Kanpur Gaurav (RCKG) organised a talk by Shri Anand Kumar, IP, DG CID UP on Financial Fraud, Cyber Crimes, Peace and conflict Management, cyber Defamation and bulling, Data theft, Investigation of financial cases and other issues concerned.

- 03rd November, 2023: Under the aegis of the Women Entrepreneur Committee and Start-up Committee a talk show on - “Reigniting UP: Preserving Traditions Creating Future” was organised at Kamla Retreat. The guest speaker was Mr. Partho Kar, Chief Consultant, Biswa Bangla, Govertment of West Bengal.

- 13th September, 2023: In the 92nd glorious year of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, the installation ceremony of the new Governing Council was held. The chief guest of the program was Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The newly elected President of the Chamber, Mr. Abhishek Singhania and Vice President, Mr. Mayank Khanna were honored by Mr. Brijesh Pathak by wearing the lapel pin of the President and Vice President of the Chamber respectively.

- 10th September, 2023: The Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh held its 91st Annual General Meeting at Dr. GHS Conference Hall. The Chamber's Annual General Meeting elected the President and Vice President for the FY 2023-24, as well as 15 members of the Governing Council Body.

- 3rd September, 2023: Under the aegis of the Start-up Committee, a programme titled “Masterclass on Angel Investing”. The Keynote Speaker of the Masterclass was Shri Saurabh Srivastava, Padma Shri, Founder IAN, Co-founder NASSCO, IVCA & TIE Delhi.

- 15th August, 2023: 77th Independence Day Celebration was held at MCUP. Shri Atul Kanodia, President MCUP, Dr. I M Rohatgi, Past President and members of the Chamber unfurled the National Flag. On this occasion, the students of United Public School presented patriotic songs. The program was well attended by large number of Council and other members.
After this, from 04:00 pm, a program was organized by the Women Entrepreneurs Committee of the Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh to honour the young meritorious Chartered Accountants. CA Akshay Gupta and Motivational Speaker Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Chaturvedi were the chief guest of the programme.

- 27th June, 2023: Under the aegis of the Trade and Industry Committee of the
Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, in association with ASSOCHAM, SIMA, and
Sidbi, a program called "MSME: Ease of Doing Business" was organised to
celebrate International MSME Day. Shri Alok Ranjan, IAS, was the Chief guest,
and Shri Sudhanshu Mani, Creator of Vande Bharat Express, was the Guest of
Honor for the program.

- 12th June, 2023: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lt. Shri Gaur Hari Ji Singhania, former Chief Patron of the Merchant Chamber of Uttar Pradesh, a day-long sherbet distribution program was organized, in which about 4000 passersby enjoyed sweet and cold sherbets. Along with this, under the aegis of the Cultural Committee, a cultural program called "Rahe Na Rahe Hum" was also organized in the evening.

- 03rd May, 2023: Under the aegis of Information & technology Committee an IT workshop on “Live demo on the use of Tally for the implementation of Audit Trail” together with talks on “How to use ChatGPT effectively” and “An Introduction to the Power of Power BI” was organized. CA Manu Agarwal, Shri Kamlesh Jain and Shri Indresh Upadhyay were the key note speaker of the session.

- 21 October, 2021:Merchants Chamber of Uttar Pradesh presented Trade and Industry related problems in Kanpur, its solutions and also the names of Ministries, whomsoever to concen, in tabulor form to Shri A.K. Upon the same issues, the Logistics Division of MInistry of Commerce and Industry Ministry, GoI, conducted a high level virtual meeting discussed three main pioints were declare Kanpur SEZ, development of Logistics and Infratscture hub in Kanpur and to provide facility of ICD and testing lab for raw hides in Kanpur.
